Law Officer
Reporting to the Executive Director, the By-Law Officer enforces local bylaws and participates in Band Council Resolutions, ensures public safety, provides community education, and collaborates with other departments to maintain a safe and orderly environment.

Trail Blazer & Bridge: John Sanders
John Sanders (1845-1902) rose from a childhood at Fort Mattagami and Moose Factory, mastering Ojibwe, Cree and English, to become one of Canada’s earliest Indigenous Anglican priests. Through his translations, community leadership and tireless ministry across Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities, his story remains a powerful example of faith, resilience and cultural bridging.
