Brunswick House First Nation is situated on Hwy 101 East, approx. 5km from the town of Chapleau, Ontario.
We are a member of the Nishnabe-Aski Nation and our membership has a population of 763 members with approx. 121 living on-reserve and 642 off-reserve. We are also affiliated with the Wabun Tribal Council.
Traditionally, our members were mainly trappers and fur-traders. However, we are currently involved in pursuing opportunities in mining, renewal energy, starting our own blueberry farm and providing educational, health and employment & training opportunities for our membership.
Job Opportunity: Administration Reception
Reporting to the Office Manager, the Administration Reception is responsible for front office reception and general administration as well as maintaining, updating, and verifying the First Nation Register and Band List for Brunswick House First Nation.
This position will be the first contact for members, visitors, and staff on the telephone and at the front desk and will perform duties such as correspondence, mail, data entry, filing, and general inquiries in accordance with the band rep program.

The Ontario First Nations Young Peoples Council (OFNYPC) will be hosting three virtual engagement sessions on March 5, 12, and 19, 2025 to discuss Indigenous Services Canada’s (ISC) Collaborative Process on the Second-Generation Cut-off and Section 10 Voting Thresholds.
