Brunswick House First Nation is situated on Hwy 101 East, approx. 5km from the town of Chapleau, Ontario.

We are a member of the Nishnabe-Aski Nation and our membership has a population of 763 members with approx. 121 living on-reserve and 642 off-reserve. We are also affiliated with the Wabun Tribal Council.

Traditionally, our members were mainly trappers and fur-traders. However, we are currently involved in pursuing opportunities in mining, renewal energy, starting our own blueberry farm and providing educational, health and employment & training opportunities for our membership.

Reporting to the Chief and Council, the Assistant to Chief and Council is designated by the Band Council to be responsible for providing dedicated support and service to the Chief and Council to ensure that efficient governance practices are in place.

Human Resources Assistant

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Assistant is responsible for providing administrative and human resource support in a number of Human Resources functional areas. As the first point of contact regarding Human Resources matters, the Human Resources Assistant exercises good judgment in assisting managers and staff on a variety of human resource matters.
