Community Engagement Sessions

Wawa–Timmins Transmission Line

Hydro One invites community members to learn about the project and provide feedback

We invite members and community residents to attend upcoming Wawa–Timmins Transmission Line community engagement sessions hosted by Hydro One. These sessions provide an opportunity to learn about the proposed project, review potential route options, voice comments or concerns, and hear general updates — including employment opportunities. Dinner will be provided at each session.

The two off-reserve events will include other First Nations.

The Wawa–Timmins Transmission Line is a proposed new 500-kilovolt (kV) electricity transmission line connecting Hydro One’s Wawa Transformer Station near Wawa and the Porcupine Transformer Station in Timmins. This line is part of Hydro One’s planning to support regional growth and improve electricity reliability in northeastern Ontario.
