- The St. John’s Residential School Initiative invites Survivors and Intergenerational Survivors to attend a Survivors Working Circle meeting and Oral History and Testimony Collection session.

As a Survivor-led Initiative, the team is continuing engagement with members of the three communities to help guide protocol development and inform Initiative decision-making. This meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 19, to update members on archival and historical findings, as well as seek direction on protocol for continued work. The meeting will be followed by a lunch and activity. The next day members will be invited to return for individual or group oral history and testimony collection. This is apart of the goal of the Initiative to collect and preserve Oral History regarding the school.
This meeting will be held at the Brunswick House First Nation Recreation Centre. There will also be a virtual option for those who are unable to travel. Please contact your community coordinator to sign up and let them know if you would like to join virtually on Zoom.
