Brunswick House First Nation is accepting applications for the position of Water Plant/Splash Pad Technician.

Brunswick House First Nation is searching for a Water Plant/Splash Pad Technician to care for the Water Plant as well as the Splash Pad. Keeping water safe is an important part of community infrastructure. The Technician will report directly to the Executive Director and will be part of the Public Works team.

Position Details

    • Position: Water Plant/Splash Pad Technician
    • Starting Salary: $25.00/hour
    • Reports To: Executive Director
    • Location: Brunswick House First Nation Administration
    • Application Deadline: July 10, 2026

Objectives

    • Participate in Water System Operator training to minimum Level 1 Technician
    • Maintain a healthy and working water plant/system
    • Work with officials on issues that may arise within the Water Plant/Splash Pad and ground piping system
    • Assist with water system testing
    • Participate in training on the Splash Pad system, maintenance, and related duties
    • Prepare Splash Pad lines for drainage and storage for the winter months
    • Resolve water-related issues in the community

Qualifications

    • Grade 12 or equivalent with water systems background relevant to the position
    • Demonstrate a healthy lifestyle and be a positive role model for the community
    • Experience working with water systems
    • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective and efficient working relationships with clients, families, management, and staff
    • Ability to work as a team member as well as self-directed
    • Experience in Microsoft Word and Outlook
    • Ability to write and complete required reports
    • Good written and verbal communication skills
    • Valid driver’s licence and use of a reliable vehicle for work-related responsibilities
