Seasonal Labourer

Full Time – Seasonal (July – October)

Brunswick House First Nation is accepting applications for a Seasonal Labourer – Housing with the Housing Department.

The Housing Department is seeking a motivated and reliable Seasonal Labourer to support maintenance, repair, and general labour activities throughout the summer and fall season. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, outdoor tasks, and contributing to the upkeep and improvement of community housing assets.

Position Details

    • Position: Seasonal Labourer – Housing
    • Starting Salary: $22/hour
    • Reports To: Housing Manager
    • Location: Brunswick House First Nation Administration
    • Schedule: Full-time, seasonal position; Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work as needed
    • Start Date: June 15, 2026
    • End Date: October 30, 2026

Key Responsibilities

    • Property maintenance: Assist with groundskeeping, lawn care, debris removal, and seasonal upkeep.
    • General repairs: Support minor building repairs under supervision.
    • Unit preparation: Help prepare housing units for occupancy, including cleaning and basic maintenance.
    • Equipment handling: Operate hand tools and light equipment safely and responsibly.
    • Team support: Work collaboratively with Housing Department staff to complete assigned tasks.

Qualifications

    • Physical ability to perform manual labour, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
    • Reliability and strong work ethic.
    • Ability to follow instructions and work independently when required.
    • Previous experience in maintenance, construction, or groundskeeping is an asset but not required.
