Administration Reception

Brunswick House First Nation is seeking a reliable and professional individual to fill the role of Administration Reception. This position serves as the first point of contact for members, visitors, and staff, providing front office reception and general administrative support.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for maintaining, updating, and verifying the First Nation Register and Band List in accordance with band registry program requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities

    • Respond to telephone, email, and in-person inquiries from members, clients, businesses, and external parties
    • Direct inquiries to appropriate departments and staff
    • Take and relay messages accurately
    • Prepare correspondence, forms, reports, memos, and meeting minutes
    • Receive, sort, and distribute incoming and outgoing mail and courier packages
    • Maintain organized office records and filing systems
    • Coordinate transportation bookings and communicate schedules to drivers
    • Provide general administrative support to the Band office

Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
    • Certificate or Diploma in Office Administration (asset)
    • Experience in an administrative setting
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
    • Available to work occasional evenings and weekends
    • Ability to obtain and maintain a CPIC including Vulnerable Sector Check
    • Class “G” Driver’s License (asset)
    • Knowledge of Brunswick House First Nation values, culture, and traditions
