Community Engagement Sessions
Indigenous-Led CARE Unit
Community discussion on Indigenous-led approaches to child safety and support
Nishnawbe Aski Nation (NAN) is inviting community members and service providers to attend a community engagement session focused on an Indigenous-led CARE Unit.
CARE Units work to help identify and locate children who are experiencing, or are at high risk of, exploitation and trafficking. These units also support connections to specialized services and assist with investigation and accountability processes. This session provides an opportunity to learn more about the CARE Unit approach and to participate in community discussion.
