Spend your summer working outdoors in Ontario’s provincial parks

Ontario Parks is inviting Ontario students to apply for summer student positions for the 2026 season. These opportunities are ideal for students who enjoy the outdoors, have an interest in Ontario’s natural and cultural resources, and are looking to gain hands-on work experience in a provincial park setting.

Positions are available within the Chapleau Cluster of Parks, which includes Ivanhoe Lake Provincial Park, Missinaibi Provincial Park, and Wakami Lake Provincial Park. Free staff housing accommodations are available for successful applicants at select locations.

Current Job Opportunities Include:

    • Gate Attendant – Welcomes visitors, issues park permits, and responds to customer inquiries
    • Maintenance Worker – Helps maintain park grounds and facilities to ensure a safe and clean environment
    • Discovery Ranger (Ivanhoe only) – Assists with delivering educational programs about the park’s natural and cultural features
